I've had an issue with broken comments on this site that was related to MT-Blacklist (a now-obsolete tool that helped curb spam). Sorry about that. Instead of trying to fix it, I'm just going to turn off the Blacklist and leave comments open on the most recent posts.

Before this blog went into hibernation in 2005, I knew the blog platform (Movable Type 2.65) was in need of an upgrade. A year later, it's obvious to me that I'm driving an El Camino when everyone else has upgraded to a Prius. A change is coming soon to Common Craft.

Thanks so much for the welcome home comments. I'm still getting my feet under me in terms of writing for Common Craft, but I'll be back in full force soon.

After almost 13 months in hiberation, Common Craft is back to life! We have a lot planned in 2007 and it all starts today. My wife Sachi is joining Common Craft and this morning we just had the first of our weekly staff meetings. After a year away from it all, we are both so ready to get the ball rolling in 2007.

This afternoon I did the final talk for the final workshop before we leave on the trip. In a lot of ways, today marked the last of my formal work for Common Craft for a long time.
