If only more people would take this seriously.

If only I could see it

If only I could see it outside the US.

Hulu

Streaming only within the US sux. Why would one go with an organization that won't let streaming go outside the US? Don't you want your voice to go to the whole world? I thought the world was flat these days!

To paraphrase some other

To paraphrase some other commenter, on some other blog:

Hulu, bringing region codes to the internet.

"our video library can only be streamed within United States"

i cannot see it! i got this message "our video library can only be streamed within United States" i wonder whey .........

Unviewable videos

I'm in the UK and I can still watch the videos in your store on your website, but I guess that's not streaming - or is it? Maybe I need a video about streaming! I hope you will stick the new one in the store soon. I want to get my grandchildren watching all your money series - the lessons are so great.

Um

Right. Yeah, no-can-see. Not your fault Lee, but is there any alternative so we can fulfil this mystery?

You can see it from Europe

Thanks Your web Admin.

Maybe I need a video about streaming! I hope you will stick the new one in the store soon. I want to get my grandchildren watching all your money series - the lessons are so great.

If you don't have the money don't buy it.

Maybe you need to do an illustrated version of this . . . concept since it seems there are so many people, companies and governments that have a hard time understanding the concept.

Hulu sux

Don't you want your voice to reach the whole world? Get rid of Hulu and get streaming to the rest of the world!

Unfortunate

Hi Lee

I am outside US - but I always visit and read all CC posts.
I wanted to see this interesting video/post - but unfortunately - currently it is limited only within US territory and the screen says I can't access it.!

Hope it get resolved soon.
Cheers

This is so true!

The whole country should watch this video! SNL occasionally does something both funny and meaningful sometimes.

Too Funny!

It's amazing how a little common sense can go a long way! This is a great video that explains the basic. Hey, if you can't afford it then don't buy it. Too bad the politicians don't feel this way with our tax money.

Funny but so true

Unfortunate an economy without credit can not grow enough to avoid being in recession. People buying stuff (on credit) is what created the boom of the past decade. If everyone suddenly started "saving" until they could pay cash we would have massive job layoffs, possibly as high as Nancy Pelosi stated as 500 million per month.

Perfect!

This video is great. Too bad this important book didn't come out last year...then maybe our economy wouldn't be in the mess it is today ;-)

Great video!

This video is hysterical. More people should watch it as it is the REAL reason why we are in the mess we are in today!

very good lesson

Something I was raised and taught to do and I have stayed away from credit card debt, car loans, home loans and just pay for everything with cash. Simple and if all Americans did this...like they used to in the good ole days guess what? we would not have any of these problems that we are facing today!

Almost too sad to be too funny

My old farmer dad used to have a saying that was the inverse of this. If you HAD money and bought stuff you didn't NEED, it was 'just like blowin' it down a rat hole'.

As bad as that approach, it's so much worse buying when we don't have the money. This whole process will leave us purged and renewed -- except for the money we owe infinitely because we bought (bailed out) something we didn't have the money for.

I'm outside out US and i

I'm outside out US and i can't read it :-(

Watch it OUTSIDE US here!

If you are outside USA and wanna watch the skid, go here:

Funny!

Wow, it suprises me to how much a little bit of common sense goes lol! Too bad other people dont feel that way about our money (Government?)

Pity I cannot watch this.

Pity I cannot watch this. Any other links available like youtube?
Thanks

Too True

I think with the world in recession due to banks lending to people who don't pay debt, this message is so true.

Years ago credit was reserved for cars and homes, the odd appliance, nowadays people put EVERYTHING on their credit card so if you put your weekly shop on your credit card and your card is near max, your shopping will cost a small fortune.
Commonsense needs to be re-introduced when using any form of credits and the banks need to learn that too.
As a small business(self employed) myself forget overdrafts,in the UK many banks are pulling overdrafts faster than a dentist pulls teeth.

Hilarious

Bravo once again to the SNL staff!

SNL Rocks!

After a quarter of a century, Lorne Michaels still hasn't lost his touch. What a splendidly special video.

Perfect for Economy class

I would like to show this to my high school economy class as a funny intro, but unfortunately, it is blocked at my school...so is YouTube. I wonder if I can find it on Teacher Tube.

that how we got in to this mess

were always going out and buying thing we dont need i heard about a servery the .50 out of every dollar we earn goes to walmart and Exxon so crasy if it true.

Cant See Video BUT...

I cant see the video, however I have spent the last 10 years preaching the title of this. Somewhere along the line it has become normal to spend other peoples money to satisfy our own greed. What really gets me is the fact that the only answer to this problem (current economies also considered) is to lower interest rates. So whilst Ive been hard at work saving my money and getting some very nice interest, I am punished!!!!

best colon cleanse

I'm writing a book just like it, right now...

This is exactly the video most people should watch but to be honest, I think the same conversation in the video that we think is funny would ACTUALLY happen if you gave that book to real people. They just wouldn't get it.

Good comedy

This is good comedy but in reality the message couldn't be more true these days. We have allowed our banks to overwhelm us with credit card offers and the message that all will be well in our lives if we just charge it on our fancy card and "earn miles/gas/younameit" when we do. So now we have a vast society of folks spending their way into the ground.

How are they going to pay them off now that jobs are evaporating like water on a hot desert highway?

Time to cut em up folks and nail down your spending habits before it send you to the poorhouse or worse.

This Should Be Taught In Kindergarten

This is a life skill that needs to be learned at the earliest possible stage --

I have read somewhere that a lot of university students actually start their career deep in debt because cc companies actually make students a target. Definitely not a good way to start your life outside the walls of the academe.

I've never owned a credit card and don't ever want to have one. Call me old-fashioned but I don't spend countless nights lying in bed wondering how the hell I'm going to pay my debts. And I'm happy about that. I do own a debit card though (I think that's what it's called :-) ) which I put money into when I need to buy something using plastic (like on the internet).

Simple. Straightfoward. Where's the catch?

See, I love skits like this one. This should be required viewing for every single American prior to making any purchase. I learned this when I got my allowance as a kid and I've never strayed from it.

If I don't have enough money to buy something, I don't buy it. Crazy, eh?

I wish more people had the common sense to follow this simple guideline. But then all the markets would crash further...
