Notes: Vancouver BC, like most cities, has traffic problems.  To help solve this problem, TransLink, the Greater Vancouver (BC) Transporation Authority created a new website designed to help citizens plan around traffic problems.  The site is called I-Move .ca and here is a one minute introduction.

Who's voice is that?

Like the one-minute format. Great for web viewing.

Who's voice is that? Sachi?

Sachi's Voice

That would be Sachi's voice, yup.

Like!

I like the flight theme in this one - the bird and the flying guy. Wonnerful!

I guess it had to be Satchi, eh?

Us Vancouverites wouldn't put up with some 'merican telling us how to cross town. Strong work, yet again!

Crap, no 't' in Sachi

Sorry about that...

Sachi gets oot and a boot

Very authentic sounding "route" (rhymes with boot) in there!

Out from behind the camera!

Don't get me wrong, Lee, I like your voice, but what a pleasant surprise to hear Sachi on the video.

Maybe you guys could do a duet someday :-)

Another excellent video! I'm sure I'll make use of Imove up at Northern Voice.

Cheers,
Randy

Traffic, traffic, traffic

I'm a former BC Lower Mainlander...let me confirm for you that Vancouver traffic is crazy. With 2010 coming it is only going to increase...I hope your little video helps to inspire people to consider alternate forms of transit. I also hope Translink keep enhancing their services...especially going out toward the Fraser Valley. Enhanced services and increased public awareness are the only way we are going to get people out of their cars! I now reside in Price Edward Island and consult from the distance to BC clients. Let me tell you...I love BC...but don't miss the traffic! PEI is just a bit of a slower pace! Love your videos...keep up the good work and great blog!

Wonderful

What a wonderful tool. I can see this type of site really taking off and beeing used by many of the larger cities in the future.... at least I hope!

broken link

Your Cogeny link seems broken to me... get an access error.

Availability?

What a fantastic tool! So why is this only available in Vancouver? Is this a tool that was put together by the city themselves? I sure hope this kind of thing catches on and will be available EVERYWHERE in the future!

I'm going to try that in Phoenix

My brother has a contract working on the promotion of the new light rail system in Phoenix. This inspired me to find a way to use a video like that to promote our new dinky mass transportation system. Phoenix is getting so congested, and I love the concept of making them feel like they could fly.
