By leelefever on June 02, 2009 - 6:22pm
Sachi and I will be attending the National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) later this month in Washington DC. This will be our first time attending the conference, so you may see us wandering around with lost looks on our faces.
Because it's such a huge conference, we're hosting a Tweetup [?] so that we can be sure to meet you. Come say hello!
Date: Monday June 29th, 2009
Time: 4:30-6pm
Location: Old Dominion Brew House - Convention Center (we've reserved a room in the back) Map
You can RSVP using Upcoming.org
We're @commoncraft, @leelefever, @sachilefever on Twitter.

I will see ya
Dear leelefever,
I am going to attend this conference for the second time in DC. Last time it really worth it and insightful. I been a regular visitor of your blog, and indeed do appreciate the same.
I will see you in the conference, my name is Ankur.
NECC
Hello Lee,
Absolutely love the simplicity and effectiveness of your videos. I have attended NECC at least 3 or 4 times while at Dell in an Education sector marketing role. I presented quite a few times as well and was always pleased by the level of interaction and genuine interest in leveraging technology to improve teachable outcomes.
The Tweetup should be a welcome change to the many vendor sponsored events. Many of these folks are always eager to learn and apply the latest technologies in the classroom.

How cool of you and Sachi! I saw the Tweet about this and I have to admit that I use your videos in almost every professional development session I teach. I would absolutely LOVE to meet you both in person.
Thanks!

an invitation
Hello Lee and Sachi,
Thanks for the invite and I'm going to try to make it.
In return, I'd like to invite you to meet some local middle school students who are working in their own schools to help their teachers and peers use technology. I wrote a couple of blog posts a while back about how your videos are great examples for students to produce their own "how to" videos to teach people in their school about using the school technology.

Looking forward to meeting you and all other attendees.

You are going to love NECC. It is absolutely the highest energy education conference on the circuit. I've been going for many years on the vendor side. Lots of people know you and will welcome your presence. I guarantee that you will enjoy what you learn about teachers, students and technology - particularly if you take up Sylvia Martinez's invitation! Hope to meet you in person at the Tweetup.
Sad I will not be there this year... cut backs
I am so sad I will not get to meet you two... I am a big fan. You will love NECC, I've been the last 3 years and learn so much every time.

Wish I could be there...
I would love to join all of you there but unfortunately, it's such a long way from where I am. Maybe next year, hopefully. Good luck, Lee and Sachi! Have fun!

Dang!
I do hope to run into you guys. I enjoyed talking on the phone a while back.
Perhaps we'll meet sometime before I have to leave, around mid-day on Monday -- heading for New Zealand for a principal's conference. Bummer! ;-)
See you there!
That's great news! I have been using your excellent videos as a resource in the classes I build for a major online university. You guys are brilliant; I'll be glad to tell you so in person.
