Video: Insurance in Plain English

Today we've published a new video: Insurance in Plain English
As we wrote recently, we're focusing on our Money category over the next month or two. This video, Insurance in Plain English, is meant to explain why insurance exists, what service it provides, how it works and what role it plays in being financially responsible.
Insurance is a concept that surrounds us all the time. In fact, it's so common that it's easy to assume that everyone understands it and why it makes sense. Unfortunately, there are not a lot resources for teaching the big ideas behind insurance, much less ones that do it in an entertaining way. This video is meant to make the boring subject of insurance a bit more fun and interesting.
We hope this video will provide educators a resource for helping people young and old make smarter and more informed decision about their coverage.

Insurance!
Wow, I wish I had had this when I first graduated from college, had my first job, and wondered why most of my paycheck was disappearing into an HMO!
I admit that when I first started watching this video I didn't find it nearly as enlightening as your others. But toward the end I realized that it didn't have to teach me something new as much as give me a better way of explaining things to someone else, and it also taught me how far I've come and how conservative I am!
Way to go, Sachi and Lee. You continue to make good choices as to which topics to explain in plain English.

This is definitely timely... there's a growing discussion in business forums/ publications about the difference between "pre-paid" services and catastrophic insurance. Great job!
Helpful video about Insurance!
The video is illustrative of the importance of insurance. Many of us do not see the big picture when it comes to recovering from unforeseen events. What is Single Payer? Please tell us!
Please, please do a common craft video on Single Payer (and multi-player and private player as practiced in Norway) and mainly lead the way in educating us in what Single Payer is. The president has mentioned it, nobody gets it. It's the same as Medicare, and what is Medicare? If you do an Insurance video, surely you would do a Medicare video, but I'm too young to what these things are. If you do Single Payer video, will share it with everybody! This is the report that inspired me to find and write to you--a last hope you are!
