You Tube: Community vs. Monetary Rewards in Video Sharing

I'm with you man. One of the other interesting things about how videos have evolved is about portability. Once I create a video file, I can upload it to my own server, YouTube, Blip.tv, etc. etc. etc. This is multiple hosts. Then, I can blog it, I can share at places like Flixya, I can put it anywhere that accepts html - this is multiple players. The whole notion of portability, to me, is a big deal. One question is how long it is going to take before the assholes start to take over and start to spam video communties with video spam? Maybe this is another blog post...
