This 5mb, 52 page .pdf presentation by Michael Angeles, provides some great points regarding how weblogs can help knowledge management efforts in corporations.
It provides a some nice screen shots of how posting to a weblog works, some thoughts about syndication (RSS) and more. It's a little geeky for my tastes- though I think it would probably fit well as an introduction for high-tech companies.
I think one of the central messages is one I posted about recently- weblogs are cheap and easy to manage way to distribute authorship and knowledge in an organization.
Separate note: I've been really impressed lately with the (somewhat sporadic) posts to John Robb's K-Logs Yahoo! Group. It's been a great source of info.
