I’ve been doing some work with the March of Dimes on a new online community web site. The site is based on the community of parents who have children who were born prematurely. I’ll be talking about the community more soon, but I wanted to provide a quick pointer to the site. It’s been public since September and has over 1300 registered users.

It’s been really inspiring to see an online community meet such a profound need within an existing community. The March of Dimes had a spot-on vision for this to happen- the community was ready. They have been mightily impressed with word-of-mouth advertising via BZZ Agent too.
Oh, and check it out, they are using weblogs and message boards in the same community. The online community manager has a blog too.
