Today we’re announcing a new video that you’ll find in your video library: Website Cookies, Explained by Common Craft.
It explains:
- How and why cookies are saved to your computer when visiting a website
- The role cookies play in helping websites remember you
- The two basic types: session and persistent cookies
- How advertisers may use cookie data
- How website owners use cookie data for analyzing traffic
This video was suggested and voted-on by Common Craft members and was the recent leader in votes. We have other videos coming soon that were based on member suggestions - please keep those suggestions and votes coming!
A Small Change in Format
You may notice a slight difference in this video - it does not contain title slides that have logos, dates or “Explained by Common Craft”. This is a new standard for us and a way to make the videos shorter and more timeless. The only mention of Common Craft is a small copyright notice at the end.
Feedback Request
A couple of weeks ago, we emailed members to ask you to complete a quick survey. Many of you completed the survey and we’re very grateful. The feedback was very helpful and the change above was inspired by a few of the comments. The survey is still online and if you haven’t taken it, please do.
Thanks and enjoy the new video!
