2000 Cut-Outs

2014 was a big year for our Cut-outs. The library doubled in size and Common Craft members are using the images in all kinds of projects. In fact, we recently reached a milestone. Our library now contains over 2,000 Cut-outs, all in Common Craft Style.

Our goal is to provide a libary that gives you enough visuals for any kind of project. Whether it's a presentation, video, infographic or blog post, the Cut-outs can create a fun and engaging style.  Look for a lot more Cut-outs in 2015. 

Common Craft Cut-Outs: Re-Imagined

Whether it's PowerPoint presentations, videos or blog posts, the use of high-quality visuals have become an essential part of communicating clearly. This is why we've invested in our library of Common Craft Style images - what we call "Cut-outs". 

We recently made it much easier to browse, search and download Common Craft Cut-outs and use them in visual projects. We currently offer over 1,400 high resolution images in .PNG format.

Video: Image Resolution and Pixels

I will bet you know people who need this video. It's designed to relate the basic ideas behind resolution and pixels in digital images.

 
This video follows the story of Neil, who learns why he can’t enlarge and print a photo that was taken with his phone.  Using an analogy of a blanket, the video illustrates what happens when a small image is enlarged and what’s needed for printing larger photos.  It teaches:
  • The basics of pixels in digital images
  • Why a digital image with a small number of pixels can’t be enlarged
  • What happens when a digital image is enlarged too much
  • How megapixels and resolution affect print size
