This service has been up for almost 2 months and I can't put into words how exciting it is to have you as our first members. From the moment the idea of a membership service came to life, it became clear that members could become our best resource for understanding what videos we should make next. So we built the site with a tool that makes it easy to suggest and vote on video titles.
So far there have been a good number of suggestions and votes. Currently three video titles are tied for 1st with 5 votes each. They are Web-Based Email, Copyright and Web Browsers. This is so very encouraging, as these are titles that we see a being a good fit in the library. A few notes...
1) Keep those votes and suggestions coming! The more the merrier.
2) Soon we'll select one of your suggestions as a video we'll make in the future. In which case, we'd love to take things a step further. Our plan is to create a blog post about the potential title and open it to comments from members. We may ask specific questions about the major points that should be covered, how it would be used, etc. This way, we can build a foundation, with your help, for the video. Then rinse, repeat.
3) While the suggested titles will be a major resource for new videos, please note that we'll continue to make videos that have not been suggested. It'll be a mix and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised.
At the end of the day, we expect you to play a role in the future of the video library. If the idea works, the library will grow to become a reflection of member needs and I can't think of a better scenario.
