Notes: I've been a member of LinkedIn for years and like many members, I wondered how to get more from my connections. The company came to us to help address this question in video form. Ultimately, it's about uncovering LinkedIn's ability to not just connect, but get things done.

Nice job

Awesome video. That definitely makes me rethink about how I use linkedin. There's probably a lot of untapped potential in all those connections.

Nice work

Excellent work, as always.

As with many social networks, I've permitted my LinkedIn network to grow too large and unwieldy. Because I've got a bunch of relative strangers in my network, 'trust' is no longer guaranteed. This may be one reason why I've never found LinkedIn particularly useful.

great video

Great video... I didn't realize you could search Linked In this way. It does make you think of your connections in a whole new way! Thanks for the info!

Video Format Failure

I couldn't watch your movie - .flv file format just didn't want to open on my computer (on anything). I went and got a coffee instead.

:(

Any chance of posting it in a more widely-used format?

Your LinkedIn video

I am going to point lots of people in my LinkedIn network to this video. And anyone I invite, too. Thanks for another great and entertaining explanation.

RE: Video Format Failure

Hi Matt,

You can try VLC Media Player to play .flv files.

By the way, great video as always. Awesome.

Great video

Nice video. It's entertaining and informative. I saw it on Linkedin's blog earlier today and was impressed.

Great work

Wow, that really makes me look at LinkedIn quite differently. Great video.

You guys rock!

Thanks, Lee and Sachi! You're amazing to work with and your work..it speaks for itself. Literally! OK...I'll speak a little for it...it's amazing! Thanks again!

Clear Explanation - as always

Lee & Sachi -- thanks for the always-clear explanations. I will share this video with my students at Georgia Southern University when I discuss resume writing and the career search. I'll also post a link to this video at my blog Public Relations Matters (http://publicrelationsmatters.com)

YouTube Some Time?

Hi Lee & Sachi

Good stuff - wanted it to embed in a post as I did before: http://www.felgner.ch/2008/03/twitter.html - but apparently there is no YouTube version up-to-now. Will there be one?

Harald

You Tube

Hello Harald,
This video is LinkedIn's. They have uploaded it to thier You Tube account in two parts. You can find the links in the last sentence of the entry above. Enjoy!

YouTube!

Very good! And they have an unsplit one as well! http://tinyurl.com/6xpsym

Great job

As always your videos are fantastic. I always enjoy them and learn so much. Thanks!

These videos are really good

These videos are really good resources for sites we may use, but do so blindly. Great explanations.

Communication with LinkedIn Contacts?

Another great CC video! Thanks.

Now, I need you to do another video to explain to me how to use the email functions in LinkedIn. (just kidding)

But seriously: Is there a way to send out messages to my whole network of connections, or is LinkedIn strictly only able to send one-to-one at a time messages?

I've been wondering about this for some time, but haven't gotten a decent answer from them.

Thanks in any case.
Jon
