The New Common Craft
By leelefever on April 13, 2007 - 12:31am.
After 3+ years, Common Craft has a new design and a new platform (Drupal) - Yay! We hope you like it, we sure do.
Please kick the tires and give it a test drive while it's still got that showroom sheen. I'm sure there are some kinks to work out of the system and we'd really appreciate it if you'd let us know so we can fix 'em. Just leave a comment below. Any feedback is welcome.
Over the next little while we'll be tweaking things and posting some content that will represent where Common Craft is headed. Until then, I hope we'll hear from you.

New Site
Beautiful!! I *love* the rollovers with the logo. Congrats on the new site, I hope it performs well after all the migration and testing. So far, I have not detected any kinks...I will let you know if I do.
One visual item that I noticed. On the "about us" page, I was immediately drawn to Sachi's "fast facts" and missed Lee's. The yellow gradient pushes Lee's backward and the white behind Sachi's highlights it and drew my eye to see only hers. I'm pretty sure that's not what you're after. Just some art school design geekery for ya. I would put the pretty yellow throughout that column. It also could be that the grey border fades away.

Hi Maria! Thanks a bunch for the comment. I need all the art school geekery I can get. As for the page highlighting Sachi's fast facts - I didn't mean for that to happen (obviously) but I think it works in some way. She needs more highlighting since I'm the one that's always blabbing away here on the blog. :)
Thanks again!
This is my first read and
This is my first read and post to Common Craft. I searched for 'Bees: microwave radiation ',and got Sepp Hasslberger's outstanding blog on the plight of the honey bees, a very serious concern do to the bee's crucial role in our ecosystem. I'll be looking forward to other good blogs from Common Craft, thanks.
Sweeet!
Looking good. I guess I'm few days behind the news. Congrats.
Redirect is working
Since all your posts just showed up in my Google Reader :P
I knew something was up since I hadn't "heard" anything from you. I suspect you'll get a flood of people wandering over to check things out....
Very nice! And welcome to
Very nice! And welcome to Drupal! (Some tasty Kool-Aid Boris makes, isn't it? :-> )
At last explanations I understand as a 'newbie'
This is great, plain easy to understand explanations of blogging and stuff. Site looks really neat!
Just Dugg your post on blogrolling after searching for ages elsewhere for explanations that aren't a patch on yours.
Cheers
Paul.
