What educators say about Common Craft videos...

Whether I am teaching students or fellow teachers, Common Craft's clear and concise videos help me reach learners at every level.

Jessica Donaldson Teacher / Professional Development Berkeley County School District

Common Craft videos are well crafted and break down complex ideas into simple, easily digestible nuggets. I use them as jumping points for discussions and meetings.

Dr. Robin Yap Professor George Brown College

Common Craft takes the business of "explaining" to a whole new level. Simple, profoundly understandable, and applicable for any audience.

Drew Boyd Associate Professor University of Cincinnati

I always recommend Common Craft videos to school staff. Students love them because they're relevant, short and present information in memorable chunks.

FAQs

What can I do with the Forever License?

With our forever license, you'll pay once and have always-on access to stream or download Common Craft videos and Cut-outs via our website, without a watermark. Share the videos anywhere except on public platforms like YouTube. For example, you can download video files to your computer and use them in presentations, classrooms, LMSs, Google Classroom, and more. They are yours to keep, with no future obligations like fees, renewals, or subscriptions

What can I do with a Full Access Plan?

The Full Access Plans offer the same features as the Forever License with the addition of embed codes for each video.  Full Access plans renew annually and work well for organizations.

What are the most popular use cases?

Most customers use Common Craft to teach technology and responsible internet use. Examples include:

  • Trainers and Instructors
  • Course Creators or Website Owners
  • Teachers and Librarians
  • Home Schoolers

For what age groups are your videos?

Middle school and up. Our videos are appropriate for any age and are used by Fortune 500 companies, universities, community colleges, and schools around the world.

How are Common Craft videos different?

We've been professional explainers since 2007. Each video is created from scratch and designed to be a powerful resource for educators. Unlike how-to videos or tutorials, our short animated videos focus on big ideas and context. We answer questions like “Why should I care about this?” and “Why does this matter?” This requires a great deal of creativity and explanation excellence. The videos do not include Common Craft logos or promotions, so you can be the star.

Are your videos available with captions?

Yes. Videos in the library come with an open-captioned version in English.

Do you provide transcripts for videos?

Yes. Under each video in our library, there is a link “More Info + Transcript” that reveals the transcript and major points covered in the video.

What are Lesson Plans?

Lesson Plans are downloadable documents designed to help teachers use our videos in the classroom. Each lesson plan includes learning objectives, discussion questions, Q and A, and further reading.
