The Original Whiteboard Explainer: Tim Russert
By leelefever on June 15, 2008 - 11:22am
The whiteboard he used on election night 2000 (not the one above) is now a part of the Smithsonian.
Tim Russert has been a staple of our Sunday mornings for years. He is someone for which I had a great deal of respect. Not only was he very, very good at his job, but it was obvious that he loved it and looked forward to it everyday. His enthusiasm was infectious. May we all be so lucky.
R.I.P. Tim Russert, you were a huge inspiration.

remembering tim russert
Infectious enthusiasm. Perfect words to describe him yet still an understatement. Tim was just plain awesome. Thanks for including this piece about him.
Who are others you are a big fan of?
I am embarrassed to say I had never heard of Tim Russert. I am a huge fan of yours as well as a few other 'Netcelebs' who are paying huge homage, respect and 'rememberances' to Tim (may he rest in peace).
It has inspired me to ask you, "Who are a few other of your current regular influencers?"
I am asking so I don't find out about these people AFTER they are either retired or 'depart the planet'.
Thanks in advance for sharing.

big of you
a fitting tribute....you've made my reality seemless this week; it's nice of you to recognize his contributions in the context of your own. it makes sense. we are all in this together.
Very fitting tribute
As one of the best "explainers," your reflection on Tim Russert expertise in communicating as a reporter and television host was very fitting. Thanks for your "explainer" video clips -- I'm glad you were "inspired" by Tim. My sympathy, along with many others, to his wife and son.
Hello All
Hi everyone. My name is Ray, from Utica, NY. I will be visiting Poland soon, and I am hoping to meet my Polish relatives. I also hope some people from here may help me in contacting my relatives before my visit. Thanks and looking forward to meeting some great people on here!
These pictures
Oh.. Boys and girls. And where you take such beautiful pictures for a desktop? I âîòî was already searched, some days I search for any beautiful picture, but all I can not pick up in any way something costing. Here also I sit with a standard meadow and as I shall not come to any girl-friend at them there such pretty pictures hang, I too want a beautiful screen :) And at them there there such badges beautiful and cursors such amusing. Can be prompt where it is possible to find really costing things? And there can be a site together shall make? Think we shall be the best.
In advance thanks!
XP is dead: No more dodging the Vista bullet?
Bring out yer dead. Mark your calendars of doom in ominous blood-red scrawl, for today is the day that American software beast Microsoft Corp. chopped the retail head off its stalwart XP operating system and held aloft (the still unpopular) Windows Vista as its now unavoidable successor.
