I laughed all the way through the first time, so I'll have to watch it again to really let my brain marinate in the educational goodness. I'd better hurry since it looks like the zombie hordes will reach Boise very soon.

And thanks for the tip about high altitude and cold weather. Good to know. On the flip side, wouldn't tropical zombies rot faster in the oppressive heat?

Humorous aspects aside, it looks like you've finally sold out to the anti-zombino-facist corporate forces that have been trying to tear this country apart for 50 years. Halloween should be a time to bring people and the peopleish together, and let us all share and reflect on the things we have in common.

This honestly scares the shit out of me... my friends came back from the dump and one guy... we'll call him Kin Hentze... had a large gash on his hand... now he said he got it from a spring poking him on the hand, but it was at 3 in the morning.... WHAT was he doing at the dump at 3... probably looking for brains... I haven't seen him since but I think he's a zombie now... God rest his soul... and the soul of millions of turtles that get run over each year... did you know the american turtle can kill on average 4 zombies by running out in front of them causing to slip hitting their necks on curbs and other objects causing the brain to disconnect from the brain stem thus leaving them re dead... long live the zombie killing turtles... GO 2C GOONS!

While your statement "these are actors... zombies don't dance" may be generally true about the finished publicly released video, there are allegations that initially John Landis and Michael Peters attempted to use a few actual zombies in some of the dance scenes. This proved to be very ill-advised and resulted in two undead and one unfortunate extra having to be "put down".

The studio quickly released a statement that "no zombies were hurt in the making of this video" which was just as quickly changed to "no zombies were used in the making of this video". That is what bothers me the most! Hollywood consistently tries to "push the envelope" and then when things go horribly wrong the cover-up begins. The reckless actions of Landis and his cohorts brought unwanted scrutiny to the NSCSTF (non-stationary cadaver suppression task force) because of the 'tweener that had to be eliminated on the set along with the two undead. That kind of thing greatly hinders the efforts of such organizations that are trying to work with certain govt. agencies to keep the infestation under control... none of us want that!

I'm glad that there are others out there that take educating people about the undead as seriously as me. This video was very informative and will save many lives. It's unfortunate that the maker of this film left out a very crucial element of zombie survival:

Always be aware of your surroundings.

Zombies can surprise you with how quiet they can be. Many people have fallen victim to the undead when they were surrounded and caught off guard.

Otherwise, I commend the filmmaker, may he rest in peace.

Zombies are terrifying, no joking around, there have been documented cases of people waking up after they thought they were dead. Watch Out !

The reply above which says that zombies are actually drugged sugar cane workers
is one of the few that makes sense on this site. I did not see the movie but I do not
need to. Years ago while in the U.S. Army I met a Master Sgt. who had college Pre-Medical
training before the Army. He was caught in the Pearl Harbor bombing and was used to
perform operations on the wounded. He save over 250 and never lost a patient. Later,
he told me he was in Haiti and stopped at a shabby saloon in the interior. Out the
window he saw a line of slow-shuffling people being threatened to "stay put" while
a couple of armed and whip-carrying leaders came in for a drink. He asked the bartender
what was going on and who those poor wretched people were. The man said "You've
heard of Zombies haven't you? Those are some that work in the sugar cane harvesting.
It is hard work and never enough people want to do it. These 'Zombies' can stand it because
they are given doses of drugs so they either feel little pain or tolerate it just so they
can keep getting the drugs. Bunches of them come by here often, but never inside."
The Sgt. later did more research on the subject and saw others that were being herded in
small groups somewhere, probably to labor. They are viewed by various "locals"
to be no more dangerous than people in their condition would be. Though some serious
believers in Voodoo claim they are "reanimated dead." Certain jealously-guarded poisons
and herbs and Puffer-Fish juices can be mixed to render a person unconscious, almost
without a pulse, for many hours. After he is certified "dead" he will no longer be searched for
and can be used as anyone who "owns" him chooses. In cane areas especially they can be
easily kept from prying eyes and used for the hardest labor. With the high profits of cane-Ethanol more
workers than ever are needed. An estimate from Brazil shows over 500,000, though I haven't
heard any evidence of zombie slavery or exploited workers there.
